Parenting in the New Normal: Leadership Skills for Challenging Times

The pandemic highlighted the challenges facing working parents. As we transition to the “new normal,” working parents face new questions about how to manage career and family demands. Drawing on the findings from her new book, Parents Who Lead, this webinar is designed specifically for parents in this turbulent and uncertain environment. Participants learn how to clarify the values that guide us through difficult times, engage with children in fresh, meaningful ways, cultivate a community of caregiving and support, and experiment to discover ways to live and work in our new reality.

Women in Leadership: Career Success beyond “Leaning In”

Women (defined inclusively) are bombarded with messages about how to think, feel and act at work (and in life). We’re told to “lean in” but this approach often rests on old-fashioned beliefs about what career success looks like. Further, it often competes directly with our goals of personal wellness and a life outside work.  In this session, Westring shares evidence-based strategies to help professional women clarify and pursue career success with humor, ambition, and self-acceptance. Participants will learn how to define career success on their own terms and implement realistic strategies to achieve it.

How to be a Great Workplace for Parents

More than ever, parents are struggling with the demands of raising children during a pandemic, while also maintaining productivity and engagement in an increasingly stressful work environment. In order to retain talented employees and empower them to bring their best selves – their creativity, passion, and skills – to their careers, leaders must urgently address the culture they create for parents in this time. With evidence-based tools and compelling examples from best-in-class organizations, participants will learn how to create a great workplace to better support the urgent needs of today’s working parents.
